If we go by actual data, reviews, reception, Street Fighter 4 was undeniably a more liked and better received game. Street fighter 5 has one version and it's barely past 1.5 million copies sold. Street fighter 5 on release date got a 77.Īll versions of SF4 have sold about 8.6 million copies to date. Street fighter 4 vanilla on release date got a 91 on metacritic. USF4 with 87.5% positive steam reviews and a 86.7% wilson rating. 74% positive steam reviews with a 69% wilson rating. People keep saying "OH EVERYONE SAYS THE CURRENT VERSION IS TRASH BLAH BLAH BLAH." No. Or, if it is really better, what makes it better than V? So, I ask you guys: Is SF IV really better than SF V or people say it for pure nostalgia/hate? Then again, I never played other fighting game online, so I don't have anything to compare in that matter. The only thing I hate is the connectivity, because sometimes I have to wait 10 minutes just to get a laggy fight. Even though a V-Trigger from Balrog can finish any fight, everything else seems to have a good balance. Hell, I even see people saying that UMVC3 is better than SFV and that really surprises me, because for EVERY tournament I watched on that game, the fight was summed to the first player who can make a attack being the victorious with the "AMAZING" infinite combos.įor the few months I've been playing SFV, it turned out to be an amazing game. I watch a lot of Twitch streams, both in english and portuguese, and one thing that seems to be unanimous for the streamers and the chat users is that Street Fighter IV is vastly superior to V.
